Giuliano’s School of Music is proud to offer top-quality music lessons to the Norwalk and Stamford, CT area. They are highly trained performers and teachers. Our highly-motivated and accredited instructors teach all styles of music while educating our students with the necessary fundamentals they will need to play and enjoy music for the rest of their lives. It’s all about uniting the practical with the joy of creating.

Since 1975, Giuliano’s has given thousands of students the gift of musical accomplishment with the finest in music lessons. While many of our students will simply enjoy the pleasure of playing with confidence , some of our students have and will continue to go on to be much more. Many have gone on to be professional musicians, actors, school band and choir directors, and even Giuliano’s School of Music instructors.

NANETTE: WOODWINDS/BRASS, PIANO, VIOLIN

Nanette Jordan recieved her undergraduate degree at Gettysburg College and post graduate studies at Western Connecticut State University, Central, Hartt & NYIT. She has studied with: Judith Ormond, Mary Woodward, Sarah Landgren, and Dr. Michael Mennon on flute; Dr. Michael Matsinko on piano; Dr. Kermit Finstad on voice; Dr. Robert Zellner on brass; Dr. Russel Getz on music education; and Dr. Norman Nunamaker on strings. She has a teacher’s certification in both New York and CT with over three decades of teaching music in public schools in PA, SD, NY and CT.  
JILLIAN: VIOLIN, VIOLA, CELLO

Jillian Narayan hails from New York City where she began her musical career as a teenager, playing in Borowide Orchestra, the Steven Joseph Orchestra, and Citywide Orchestra; performing in Carnegie Hall, Radio City Music Hall, and Lincoln Center. Later she studied with teachers of the Juilliard School and Manus School of Music. She studied with Joy Kane at the Dalcroze School of music and went on to play in the notable NYC Fringe Festival as well as to be the Principal Bassist in the American Mozart Orchestra. She has devoted over 20 years studying the cello and bass, with a new focus on the viola.
Jillian is also passionate about Medieval Literature and Linguistics, and obtained a Bachelor's Degree with a focus on medieval studies from Queens College, as well as a MBA from the University of Bridgeport
BENNETT: WOODWINDS

Bennett has been playing and teaching clarinet, flute, & soprano, tenor, and baritone saxophone professionally for decades. Bennett studied clarinet with Professor Vincent Krulak and flue with Dr.
Michael Mennone. He unites the musicians, having taught all those instruments to students from 6 to 91. He is driven by diversity and sharing his musical wisdom. Bennett has successfully prepared Fairfield County student for Western Regionals for over 10 years.
Today, he still plays professionally with jazz bands & combos, orchestras, and funk bands.

MICHELLE: PIANO, VOICE

 Soprano, Michelle Ferrara is an active performer throughout New York and Connecticut, and has won top prizes at The Oratorio Society of New York, The Art Song Preservation Society, The American Protégé Competition, NATS Vocal competitions, other numerous scholarship prizes and won a private coaching with renowned Juilliard Coach, Thomas Grubb. Ms. Ferrara has been invited to audition for the Metropolitan Opera Chorus as well as hired performing in numerous Composer’s Voice Concert Series; a program that promotes new music by living composers as well as participating in “Make Music New York”. Ms. Ferrara’s upcoming projects include performances with the New York based company, Opera Collective. Ms. Ferrara attended The Boston Conservatory, receiving her Master’s of Music in Vocal Performance. She has been an active voice and Piano teacher throughout California, New York, Boston and Connecticut since 2004.
SEBASTIAN: GUITAR, UKULELE

Sebastian is a multi-instrumentalist from Bogota, Colombia. He has studied classical guitar with Ted Morcaldi and Afro-Colombian percussion with Martin Vejarano. He has appeared with La Cumbiamba eNeYe (Afro-Colombian music ensemble) as a special guest. His music ranges from Bossa Nova, Afro-Cuban, Classical, Ska, Rock, among others. Sebastian teaches guitar and ukulele and loves to spread the joy of music to all his students. 
BILL: DRUMS/PERCUSSION

Bill is a professional teaching and session drummer, and vocalist, uniting technique, sound, and expression. He played drums on Vicki Sue Robinson’s iconic “Turn the Beat Around,” and continues to play with the Tomorrow Band. He studied jazz and rock drumming with Alan Dawson and Joe Corsata, two of the best drum teachers for professionals on the east coast. Bill was also a charter drum instructor at the original Stamford Music Program under the mentorship of then senator Anthony Truglia.

RICH: BASS
For 20+years Rich has provided the low notes in a wide variety of groups spanning all styles of music. He has been fortunate enough to have toured extensively across the U.S and Europe backing up well known artists such as Martin Sexton and blues grammy award winner Joe Louis Walker. He is also a member of the bands "Jen Durkin and the Business" and "Caravan of Thieves". He is also a member of the American Chamber Orchestra, Fairfield County String Society and Connecticut Little Symphony. He continues to compose new music and work steadily as a sideman providing deep tones for a variety of beautiful people.

HANS: DRUMS/PERCUSSION
A graduate of UCONN School of Music, Hans has been active throughout Connecticut for the last 20+ years, uniting musicians teaching drums and playing with bands and orchestras. His range has included rock, funk, Latin, and jazz. He has instructed marching band programs including Darien, Bethel, and Newtown high schools. Additionally, Hans has been an active performer in theatrical music with Stamford’s Curtain Call Theater, Westport Country Playhouse, Wilton Playhouse and more.
