It may prove difficult to select the right instrument to suit your needs. Are you interested in strings or do you prefer a bit of percussion? Thankfully, with the assistance of Giuliano's School of Music, you've got nothing to worry about. Whether you're a young player or an adult, a few considerations can help guide you on your journey. With the assistance of our certified instructors, it's never been easier to jumpstart the musical process!
Where do you see yourself playing? Are you more of an introvert? A solo instrument, such as a piano, may be a good choice for you! Do you love the idea of playing in a jam band with friends? Guitar or saxophone could be a great place to start! Consider where you would be comfortable playing and whether you would like accompaniment or not.
What music are you into? It may seem obvious, but your choice in music plays a big part in the music instrument you choose! Do you prefer acoustic folk music? Does classical music hit you deep? When you are able to play the music you enjoy and listen to the most, it becomes drive to learn!
Where will you practice? If you're still in school, you may have access to practice space with the proper room and sound quality. If you're practicing at home, do you have the space your instrument needs? Will you disrupt your neighbors? Beyond scheduled music lessons, practice is essential to really learning. Practice makes perfect, so be sure you have a space where you can hone your craft!
Do you have any physical limitations? If you don't have much upper body strength, an upright bass may not be the best option for you. Do you not have a big lung capacity? A wind instrument probably shouldn't be on your radar. Have a limit but want to push past it? We will do our best to assist throughout every music lesson you attend!
